Vicki & Peter. Two of the most wonderful humans you’ll ever meet. It’s when two people like this find each other that I believe in all the good there is in the world. They said yes to their forever at the gorgeous Tiff Lightbox a couple of weeks ago, followed by THE most delicious wedding meal at Malaparte (with a side serving of cutting the cake with her father’s sword, an Oscar-inspired speech and oh, just a little bit of OPERA during their first dance as husband and wife!!)
Their day that was probably one of the hottest of the season but they handled it like champs and Pilar of Pili Hansen Events Inc. co-ordinated the day flawlessly. And can we take a minute to talk about those florals by Quince Flowers!!! All the heart eyes for the day’s designs and sentimental touches throughout the venue. A friend chopped up the wooden rounds for the tables and all the teacups used belonged to either Vicki or Peter’s mothers, such a touching way to make them a part of the day.Vicki made the cake with Peter’s aunt and it was iced magnificently by a friend. They incorporated their “sacred muffin” into the ceremony (seriously, you had to be there!) as well as “jumping the broom” into married life; an African tradition to honour the bride’s time spent there with her family. The day was ALL about family, friends, good food and fun.
Vicki took Peter’s breath away in her Sash & Bustle Boutique beauty of a gown as they enjoyed a quiet first look inside the TIFF Bell Lightbox, kicking off the subtle movie theme that runs throughout their relationship.
Vicki & Peter, congratulations you two. Thank you for sharing your day and one of the most meaningful ceremonies I’ve photographed to date. Wishing you a lifetime longer of love, laughs and lots of serene mornings together. xxx
